Privacy policy
Statsify is a local-first Spotify listening statistics extension. This page explains what information Statsify handles and how it is used.
Information Statsify handles
On Spotify Web, Statsify reads only playback information needed for listening statistics: track, artist and album metadata; artwork URLs; duration, playback position and play/pause state; timestamps; qualified plays and early skips; and whether an event came from Web or the optional Desktop companion.
Statsify does not read or store Spotify passwords, authentication cookies, payment information, private messages, playlists unrelated to current playback, or activity on websites other than open.spotify.com.
Purpose
The information is used only to show your personal Spotify listening history, statistics, rankings, and derived insights.
Storage and transmission
- Standalone browser history is stored locally in extension IndexedDB storage.
- The optional Desktop companion receives events only through a local service at
127.0.0.1:43827and stores them in a SQLite database on your computer. - Statsify has no cloud backend and does not send listening history to the developer, advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
- Statsify does not sell, rent, or share your data.
Permissions
- Storage: local history and active playback checkpoint.
- open.spotify.com: current playback metadata and state.
- 127.0.0.1:43827: optional companion connection on the same computer.
Statsify does not download or execute remotely hosted code.
